4th April: Tara Hill RC are holding an information evening on showing in Kells Equestrian Centre with Toni Donnelly.
The evening will start with an information session when Toni will talk about the preparation required prior to a show – correct feeding, grooming etc of the horse & correct rider dress and horse turn out neccessary for the different classes. She will discuss what type of horse is suitable for each of the different showing categories and advise on what criteria to look for when buying a horse for showing purposes.A practical demonstration will then follow, in which a selection of horse/rider combinations will perform as a group and then individually. Toni will explain what a showing judge looks for, and how best to gain marks and will talk our demonstration riders through the stages of stripping down their horses and showing them in hand.Although booking is not essential a phone call to let us know that you are coming would be helpful as regards catering!
